All data presented on this site are considered to be PROVISIONAL DATA and subject to revision pending further review.
USGS STATION NUMBER.-- USGS 02286200
LOCATION.-- Lat 25°57'50", long 80°18'40" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 sec.36, T.51 S., R.40 E., Broward County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090202, 300 ft downstream of N.W. 67th Avenue bridge on A-frame walkway, 6.0 mi north of Hialeah, Dade County, 10.9 mi upstream from salinity-control structure 29, and 11 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA.-- Indeterminate.
REVISED RECORD.-- WDR FL-74-2A, 1969; WDR FL-02-2A, 2001.
PERIOD OF RECORD.-- November 1959 to February 1962 (gage heights only), March 1962 to current year.
REMARKS.-- Records poor. Flow affected by regulation at salinity-control structure 29, Broward county pump structure (S7) on the N.W. 67 Avenue Canal and, at times by tide, and is occasionally reversed. Records of gage heights prior to March 1962, are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey. Discharge represents flow to the east. Discharge computed from relations between stage vs. area and index velocity vs. mean channel velocity.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.-- Maximum gage height, 5.57 ft Oct. 15, 1999; minimum, 0.58 ft June 22, 1960.

Continuously recorded gage heights for the past 30 days are compared to daily (mean) gage heights from last year, the FY2000 water level schedule for Lake Okeechobee, and daily levels for the 2001 drought year.

Description of information presented in the current 30-day hydrograph at SNAKE CK CANAL @ NW67TH AV (02286200)
The change in daily gage height elevations has not been mathematically correlated to time for the period of record based on operational considerations. Instead of a long-term trend line, the data are, therefore, compared to the zero-slope (flat, linear) regression curve for the existing period of record daily gage height elevations. This approximates, but may not equal, the period of record mean. (Description of statistical methods)

Continuously recorded gage heights for the past 90 days are compared to daily (mean) gage heights from last year, the minimum and maximum daily levels for the corresponding weeks of the year for the site period of record, and daily levels for the 2001 drought year.
